The Schola Cantorum, one of the UK’s premier boys choirs, comes to Adelaide, to join with the award-winning Festival Statesmen Chorus for a spectacular concert, featuring the beloved Requiem by Fauré
The Schola Cantorum, directed by Scott Price, are students from The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School in London. This fine choir performs frequently across the UK and internationally, appearing at the BBC Proms, and working with major ensembles like the Monteverdi Choir & Orchestra; The London Symphony Orchestra, and featuring on film soundtracks such as Harry Potter and Life of Pi. The boys also regularly perform onstage with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
The Festival Statesmen Chorus is well known to Adelaide audiences, recently being honoured as Champions of the World Choir Games in Auckland, New Zealand 2024. Directed by Jonathan Bligh, the FSC is a dynamic male-voiced a cappella group, which performs in a diverse range of styles from classical to contemporary pop. They have performed across Australia to great acclaim, and collaborated with artists such as Adele, Voces8 and The Gesualdo Six.
