Organ Fireworks!

Our special event Interstellar 10, with organist Roger Sayer, was a huge success. Roger performed to a fantastic and large audience - attentive, and brimming with excellent questions. It was wonderful to hear, during interval and post-concert conversations, so much interest and curiosity about our magnificent pipe organ, which is the beating heart of music here at St Peter's Cathedral.

A large and enthusiastic audience for Interstellar 10

In October, the concert Organ Fireworks will possibly knock your socks off - or at least the socks of the two performers, Director of Music Anthony Hunt, and former Cathedral Organist Joshua van Konkelenberg, as they vie for control of this beast of a musical instrument.

Two organists on the same organ bench is a complex thing to witness - four hands and four feet - but double the fun and double the music!

The program will feature excerpts from Elgar's beloved Enigma Variations; Bach's extraordinary Toccata & Fugue in D minor, just in time for Halloween; and a humorous and unexpected nod to the famous Toccata from Widor's 5th Symphony - plus many other surprises!

Don't miss this unique and entertaining, double-sized concert on the finest organ in Adelaide, in the beautiful and welcoming surrounds of St Peter's Cathedral - with a big screen to see all the action!
